ABOUT ME
For some people, entrepreneurship is a calling. But for many of us, it just happens. I stumbled into entrepreneurship — and into my multi-path career — through love, curiosity, purpose, and possibility.
In 2009, I was sixteen years into a stable corporate career with KPMG when a small but meaningful moment shifted everything. My late brother’s childhood tricycle was sold at auction — and that moment stirred something deep in me. It became the catalyst for Lonny’s Smile Foundation, a children’s charity in his memory that has since sent 137 kids with congenital heart disease to summer camp. (And yes — we got the trike back.)
That spark led to unexpected doors. I invited Canadian musician Murray Foster to host our gala — not knowing he was also an aspiring screenwriter and director. One conversation led to another, and soon I was fundraising for The Cocksure Lads Movie — launching an unexpected second career in film.
Then, in the middle of film production, my Director role at KPMG was eliminated in a restructuring. It could have been devastating, but by then, I had already begun building something more expansive — something mine.
Since then, my path has taken many turns:
→ I helped launch and grow Crazy D’s, a first-to-market sparkling prebiotic soda company — sold online and in 150+ stores across Canada.
→ I played a key role in launching Connectiv Innovation, a consultancy that helps entrepreneurs bring their ideas to market.
→ Most recently, I’ve entered a new chapter that blends my work as a Certified Career and Entrepreneur Coach and Meaning & Purpose Practitioner with my wellness practices — including meditation, yoga, Reiki, sound healing, and sylvotherapy — to create spaces where clarity, alignment, and purposeful action can take root.
My wellness practice is at the heart of everything I do — whether I’m leading retreats, supporting survivors, or coaching women through life pivots. It’s all connected.
Through Rooted to Expand, I design retreats for women who are ready to stop playing small and realign their lives with purpose. I also co-host the Rooted in Purpose with Jess + Tamara podcast, where we explore the multi-path career journey with honesty, humour, and heart.
Alongside this, I’ve stepped more fully into work that aligns deeply with my values: anti-human trafficking advocacy and healing. Through Uprooting Trafficking, I’m developing trauma-aware retreats for survivors and frontline workers, and co-creating a public awareness series launching this October. This path brings together my wellness work, systems thinking, and passion for helping survivors thrive in a new and powerful way.
So yes — I know a thing or two about multi-path careers. More importantly, I’ve learned how to see the dots — and connect them in ways that energize me, fuel my spirit, and empower me to live my most aligned, authentic life.
And that’s what I want for you too.
Let’s make this easy. I got you.
